Manila’s biggest communities of informal settlers are slowly making headway amidst the determined stand of many long-time residents in the area to stick to their accustomed way of life. Our mission is not only to document stark realities of poverty and decay but also to find images of uplift.

Manila’s slums are rising amidst a world in full economic spin. Let us capture it in an explosion of color and light with the darkness ever ready to invade back. Look for the Zen in the shocking brutality and romance of the places we have come to know as the slums.
