On our second day in CAMIGUIN we had to wake uo early because we would be going to White Island. We woke up around 5:00am to prepare for the day and by 6:00am the van was waiting to take us to the boat for a banca ride to White Island, fortunately our driver has a cousin who owns a banca. After putting the banca to water we were off to White Island.

White Island which is actually a sand bar with a picturesque view of Mount Hibok-hibok and Old Volcano. At times it is in a shape of the letter C other times the letter I, depending on the ocean tide, with bancas dropping off visitors every now and then the island could be crowded by the time the sun sould be bearing down.

When the island was getting too crowded we left the place and headed back to Camiguin, passed by the market and bought some pastel at the factory and got some for breakfast too. Back at Villa Paraiso we ate breakfast then packed our thing and checked-out of the Inn then headed for Binoni port for our trip back to Cagayan de Oro where we got our tickets for the ferry ride to the port of Balingoan, why the ferry this time… because the supercat was scheduled to leave in the afternoon and we might miss out flight back to manila

Arriving at the port of Balingoan, we took the motorela (CDO’s version of the tricycle) and headed for the Balingoan bus terminal and waited for a bus headed for Cagayan de Oro. Arraving at Cagayan de Oro we took a cab going to the house of my sister and packed all our stuffs then headed for Divisoria and ate lunch at Mcdonald’s and it was already past 1:00pm

We had a wonderful 3-day trip, first in Cagayan de Oro where we did some rafting and ziplines then at to the island of Camiguin, experiencing its beauty and serenity and would like to go back again… maybe in 6 months???

Till the next trip
HAPPY TRAILS!!!
